ABSTRACT SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
  1. All abstract must comply with the Format below.

  2. The abstract should be as informative as possible and include the following details:
    • Introduction: background and specific objective of the study
    • Methods: description of methods used
    • Results: summary of results obtained
    • Conclusion: conclusion reached

    It is not acceptable to simply state like "The results will be discussed"

    Abstracts must meet the following specifications:

    • Abstract title: Limited to 25 words in UPPER CASE
    • Abstract should be accompanied by the authors' names and affiliations.
    • Abstract text: Limited to 300 words (NOT including Authors and Affiliations)
    • Abstract topic: Abstract must be allocated to a specific topic from below :-
      • Arthroplasty
      • Foot & Ankle
      • Hand
      • LLRS
      • Oncology
      • Orthopaedic Research
      • Paediatric
      • Spine
      • Sports
      • Trauma
      • Others

    Use only standard abbreviations. Special or unusial abbreviations are not recommended. If otherwise necessary, the latter should be placed in parenthesis after the first mentioned of the full word.

    All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.

  1. The Scientific Committee will only review abstracts received on or before the Call for Abstract closing deadline and that the abstract must follow guidelines. If it does not follow the guidelines, it will be automatically disqualified.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I submit more than 1 abstract?

Yes, you may submit more than 1 abstract. The account login you create will allow you to submit multiple abstracts.

Which email should I use to create the account?

When you create your account, the email you use should be the same email for all correspondence and e certificates to be delivered to. For Malaysians, please use the same email address which you use for your CPD points.

What happens if I want to amend my abstracts after I have submitted?

You many amend your abstracts until the 28th February 2021, after which you will not able to amend your abstract anymore. The responsibility is on the abstract submitter to ensure that the contents uploaded into the abstract is correct and have been proofread for errors.

What happens after abstract submission deadline closes?
  1. All abstracts will be reviewed by MOA 50th ASM 2021 Scientific Committee.
  2. The Committee reserves the right to select the abstracts relevant to the sessions and decide on the final form of presentation.
  3. The results will be announced after the 15th April 2021.
  4. All successful abstract submitters and award finalists must complete the registration process on their online account before the 15th May 2021 to qualify and present during the meeting.
